Te mapa
Sam Roi Yot sits on the western shore of the Gulf of Thailand in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. From above, the district looks like a meeting of three things. A straight run of sand faces east, a jagged cluster of limestone hills rises behind it, and flat wetland and farm plots spread inland toward the main north-south highway.
The name is usually translated as the mountain of three hundred peaks, and the karst massif of Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is the reason. Established in 1966, it was Thailand's first marine national park. On a map the hills show up as a dense, irregular island of contour and shadow. Roads can't cross it, so they bend around it.
A Sam Roi Yot map poster keeps the relationship between rock, water and settlement easy to read. Village lanes follow the shoreline and the edges of ponds, and the park's trails thin out into the hills. The coastline makes a firm line along one side of the print. It's a place defined by what the roads have to go around.

A long, gently curving beach runs along the eastern edge. It gives the composition a clean boundary between the dense inland pattern and the open water of the Gulf of Thailand.
Inland, flat ground is divided into ponds and fields. Their rectilinear edges make a quiet geometric texture that contrasts with the rough outline of the hills.

People who have walked up to the cave pavilion at Phraya Nakhon or spent slow days on this stretch of coast often want a record that isn't a photograph. A map keeps the whole setting in view: the peaks, the beach and the lanes between them.
The print can carry your own title, a subtitle such as a travel date, and the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room it will hang in.
