Te mapa
San Cristobal lies in Artemisa province in western Cuba, on the Carretera Central, the main highway running the length of the island. On the map, the road passes directly through the town, with a regular grid of streets on either side. To the north, the land rises toward the Sierra del Rosario; to the south, it flattens into farmland.
Like many Cuban towns, San Cristobal is built around a central square with a church, and its streets follow the Spanish colonial grid outward from there. The town serves as a local centre for farming communities in the surrounding plain and the foothills beyond.
A San Cristobal map poster shows a clear, orderly town in a varied landscape. The Carretera Central gives the composition a strong horizontal line, the grid adds structure, and the hills and plains create contrast at the edges. It is a considered, simple image of a place with deep roots in western Cuba.
The island's main historic highway runs through the town, giving the map a strong line that connects San Cristobal with Havana and Pinar del Río.
Streets extend in a regular grid from the central square and church, a pattern common to Cuban towns and very clear from above.
The Sierra del Rosario rises to the north, while flatter farmland stretches south, giving the edges of the map two distinct landscapes.
