Sé is the parish at the centre of the Macau peninsula, named after the cathedral that stands within it. From above, its northern part is a maze of narrow, winding streets around Senado Square and the Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, while its southern and eastern edges open onto broad avenues and blocks built on reclaimed land along the water.
Much of the Historic Centre of Macao, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005, lies within or next to the parish. Senado Square, with its wave-patterned Portuguese pavement, the Cathedral and colonial-era civic buildings sit a few minutes' walk from casinos and hotels on the newer waterfront.
A Sé map poster shows these two cities side by side: the tight, organic old lanes and the geometric grid of reclamation. The shoreline and the Nam Van waterfront frame the composition, making it a compelling record of how Macau has grown.
The historic square forms a small open space within a dense web of lanes, the traditional civic centre of Macau for centuries.
Narrow, curving streets climb and turn around the cathedral area, creating the finest and most intricate texture on the poster.
Land reclaimed from the sea to the south and east carries wide, straight avenues and large blocks, contrasting sharply with the older lanes.

Sé is where Macau's Portuguese and Chinese past are most visible, and its streets hold memories for residents and visitors alike. A map poster captures that density in a single clear image.
