Te mapa
Sennan lies on the southern coast of Osaka Bay, between the sea and the Izumi mountains. On a map its streets spread across a narrow coastal strip, with rail lines and roads running parallel to the shore and valleys reaching back into the hills. The coastline itself includes reclaimed land and a long waterfront.
The town sits beside Kansai International Airport, built on an artificial island in the bay, and part of the airport island falls within Sennan's boundaries. Rinku Minami beach and its park stretch along the reclaimed shore, and the bridge to the airport is visible nearby.
A Sennan map poster captures a clear division between sea and land: the hard edges of reclaimed coast, the linear rail and road corridors, and the more irregular streets climbing into the hills. The airport island just offshore adds a striking geometric shape to the composition.
Kansai International Airport's artificial island lies just offshore, its long rectangular form making one of the most distinctive shapes on the map.
Straight-edged reclaimed land and the Rinku Minami beach line the coast, forming a clean boundary between the town and the bay.
Rail lines and roads run parallel to the shore, linking Sennan with Osaka and Wakayama and giving the map a strong horizontal rhythm.
