Te mapa
Sinkassé sits at the far northern tip of Togo, in the Savanes region, directly on the border with Burkina Faso and close to Ghana. Its longitude is only a fraction of a degree east of Greenwich, so the town lies almost exactly on the prime meridian. On a map that detail is invisible, but the coordinates line on a poster can record it precisely.
The town grew around the main road linking the port of Lomé with Ouagadougou, and its layout reflects that. Streets and market areas gather along the highway and the border crossing, which faces the Burkinabè town of Cinkansé on the other side. Beyond the built area, the savanna opens up into fields, footpaths and scattered compounds.
A Sinkassé map poster shows a place defined by movement. The trade corridor runs straight through the composition, and the border adds an invisible line that makes the town unusual. In the simpler styles the loose savanna paths around the edges become a delicate texture framing the busier centre.
The international road from the Gulf of Guinea to the Sahel runs through the town. It is the strongest line on the map and the reason the settlement grew here.
Sinkassé faces its Burkinabè counterpart across the frontier, so the built-up area continues across a border you cannot see on a black and white map.
Around the town, narrow paths and tracks link compounds and fields. They form a fine, irregular web that softens the edges of the composition.

Koteā ko Sinkassé
A map of Sinkassé suits anyone connected to the region: people who grew up there, traders who crossed the border, or travellers who passed through on the road north. Its location on the meridian adds a quiet detail worth recording.
Put 0° longitude or a personal date in the coordinates line, and write your own title and subtitle. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
