Te mapa
Sukumo is a small city in the southwest of Kōchi Prefecture, on the island of Shikoku. It sits at the head of Sukumo Bay, a deep, sheltered inlet that opens toward the Bungo Channel, and it is surrounded by steep, forested hills. From above the town occupies a narrow strip of flat land where rivers reach the bay, with the built-up area pressed between water and slopes.
The bay is the defining feature of the map. Its coastline is intricate, full of inlets and headlands, and islands scatter across the outer waters, including Okinoshima, which belongs to the city. This coast is part of Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park, known for its rocky shores and clear water. Roads follow the shore closely, while inland routes wind through the hills toward the rest of Kōchi and neighbouring Ehime.
Sukumo is also a stop on the Shikoku Pilgrimage and home to Enkōji, the 39th of the circuit's eighty-eight temples. A Sukumo map poster can frame the town closely or widen to show the whole bay, where inlets and islands form one of the most intricate coastlines in the region.

The town sits on the narrow lowland where rivers enter the bay, a small flat area filled with streets and hemmed in by steep hills.
Beyond the bay, islands including Okinoshima scatter across the sea, adding isolated shapes of land to the open water in a wider frame.

Koteā ko Sukumo
Sukumo suits pilgrims who passed through on the Shikoku circuit, divers and anglers who know the bay, and families from southwestern Kōchi. Its coastline is complex enough to make a striking map even for people who have never been there.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a temple name or a date, and a custom coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir gives the islands and the indented shoreline particularly strong contrast.
