Te mapa
Takahata sits in the Okitama basin in the south of Yamagata Prefecture, surrounded by mountains. The town centre is small and compact, and roads spread out from it across the flat basin floor. On the map, fields, orchards and scattered villages form an open agricultural landscape, rising at the edges into forested hills.
Takahata is known for its fruit, especially grapes, and for wine production. A local winery attracts visitors from across the region. The town also sits on the Yamagata Shinkansen line, which gives it a direct rail link to Tokyo despite its rural setting.
A Takahata map poster captures the balance of a basin town: a modest cluster of streets, the straight stroke of the railway and wide farmland fading toward the mountains. The design is spacious and calm, with the natural topography framing the settlement.
The flat basin floor spreads around the town. Its fields and orchards give the map a gentle, open pattern bordered by rising hills.
The Yamagata Shinkansen passes through Takahata. It's a clear, direct line across the countryside that links the town with Tokyo.
Forested mountains close off the basin on several sides. They frame the map with natural contours and a sense of enclosure.

Koteā ko Takahata
Takahata is dear to those who grew up among its orchards and to travellers who came for fruit, wine or the mountain views. The map is a peaceful image of rural Japan, well suited to a calm corner of the home.
