Te mapa
Takum lies in the south-eastern part of Nigeria's Middle Belt, in an area of rolling savanna and farmland not far from the border with Cameroon. The town has grown around a central core of market streets, and from there roads extend outward to neighbouring towns and villages, giving the map a loose, radiating structure rather than a planned grid.
The town is the traditional centre of the Kuteb people, and other communities, including the Jukun and Chamba, also live in the wider area. Farming shapes the surrounding land, and Takum serves as a market for a large rural hinterland, with the busiest activity concentrated along the main roads through the centre.
A Takum map poster presents that structure clearly: a dense centre of streets, a set of roads leading away in several directions, and wide open land in between. The drawing is simple and honest, suited to someone who knows the town or has family roots there, and it looks equally at home in a house in Takum or far away.
The oldest and busiest part of town forms a dense cluster of streets around the markets, the point from which most roads begin.
Routes leave the town in several directions toward nearby settlements, giving the map a fan-like pattern across the surrounding countryside.
Open farmland and savanna surround the built-up area, so the town appears as a compact shape set within broad, lightly drawn space.

Koteā ko Takum
For Kuteb families and others from Takum who now live in Abuja, Lagos or abroad, a map of the town is a clear, personal connection to home. It shows familiar roads without needing any explanation.
Add a family name or a date to the title and subtitle, and choose from five styles, including the darker Noir or the warmer Paper. HD files cost $9, and printed matte posters are available with an optional wooden frame.
