Te mapa
Tân An lies on the northern edge of the Mekong Delta in southern Vietnam, about fifty kilometres southwest of Ho Chi Minh City. For many years it was the capital of Long An province, which was merged into the new Tây Ninh province in 2025. On a map the town sits on the Vàm Cỏ Tây River, with a compact centre near the water and roads extending into flat farmland crossed by canals.
National Route 1 passes through Tân An, making it an important stop on the road from Ho Chi Minh City into the rest of the delta. The town is surrounded by rice fields, orchards and waterways, and its markets and riverbanks reflect the everyday life of the region. Bridges carry the highway and local roads across the river.
A Tân An map poster shows a delta town in its setting, with the river winding through, canals drawn as thin lines across the fields and the built-up area clustered where roads and water meet. It is a calm, open composition, quite different from the dense grids of the larger cities in southern Vietnam.
The river curves past the town centre in a broad bend, giving the map a strong natural line and separating the older core from the surrounding land.
The main highway crosses Tân An on its way south, a clear straight line that shows the town's role as a link between Ho Chi Minh City and the delta.
Around the town, irrigation canals divide the flat land into long narrow plots, creating a fine pattern of parallel lines that fills the edges of the poster.

Koteā ko Tân An
Tân An suits families from the former Long An province, people who travel Route 1 into the delta and anyone who grew up beside its river. The map offers a quiet picture of a place that rarely appears in prints.
