Tanguiéta Map Poster & Print

Tanguiéta lies in the Atakora department of northwestern Benin, near the hills of the Atakora range. The map shows a compact town built around its main road, with a loose pattern of streets and compounds. The surrounding country is savanna, crossed by tracks, and the higher ground of the Atakora lies nearby.

The town is widely known as the gateway to Pendjari National Park, one of the most important protected areas in West Africa. It is also known for its hospital, which serves a large area of northern Benin. Travellers heading to the park usually pass through here.

A Tanguiéta map poster presents a small town with a clear sense of direction. The main road runs through it and continues north, the streets branch outward and the open land around it reflects the savanna landscape of the Atakora.

Tanguiéta stays with people who have passed through on the way to Pendjari, worked at the hospital or grew up in the Atakora. A map of the town preserves that connection in a simple, graphic form.
