University Map Poster & Print
University is a community in Hillsborough County, north of central Tampa, named for its location next to the main campus of the University of South Florida. From above, it is organised around wide arterial roads. Fowler Avenue and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard carve the land into large blocks, and apartment complexes and cul-de-sacs fill them.
The campus shapes the district's population and daily life. Many residents are students, staff and hospital workers, and the area's housing and shops cater to them. The land is flat, typical of west-central Florida, with retention ponds and small green spaces scattered between the developments.
