Te mapa
Villa Canales lies just south of Guatemala City, in the volcanic highlands of the Guatemala department. The ground here is broken by ridges and deep ravines. On a map, the streets follow those contours. Neighbourhoods sit on flatter spurs, with steep, empty slopes between them.
The municipality stretches from the urban edge of the capital toward the area around Lake Amatitlán in the south. The northern part is increasingly built up. Further south, it gives way to rural land, coffee farms and small villages linked by winding roads.
A Villa Canales map poster shows how highland terrain shapes a city. Nothing here is a regular grid for long. Roads curve around ravines, and clusters of houses grow wherever the ground allows. In black and white, the result is an irregular, organic pattern that is very different from the flat cities of the coast.
Deep, steep-sided valleys cut between neighbourhoods and show as open space. They give the map its broken, branching structure.
Houses and streets gather on the flatter ridges. The result is a series of separate clusters rather than one continuous town.
Toward the south, the built-up area thins into farms and villages, and the land drops gradually toward the Lake Amatitlán basin.

Koteā ko Villa Canales
Villa Canales is where many families from the capital have settled, and its map carries that recent history. The title and subtitle can name a colonia or a year, in Spanish or English, and the coordinates line pins the house on the ridge.
The winding streets look lovely in Paper and Sand. Classic black & white and Noir emphasise the ravines. The $9 digital files come in six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF. Framed matte prints are available from partners in more than 30 countries.
