Westfield lies in Hamilton County, just north of Indianapolis. It was founded in the 1830s by Quakers, and the town played a part in the Underground Railroad, helping people escaping slavery on their way north. For much of its history it was a small farming community; in recent decades it has become one of the fastest-growing cities in Indiana.
