Te mapa
Xiluo is a township in the north of Yunlin County, at the edge of the broad western plain of Taiwan. It sits directly on the south bank of the Zhuoshui, the island's longest river, which here spreads into a wide bed of shifting channels and gravel bars. The town's streets pack tightly against that riverbank, then give way to the regular rectangles of farmland stretching south.
The Xiluo Bridge is the town's best-known landmark. Completed in the early 1950s, it was for a time counted among the longest bridges in the Far East, and its red spans still carry traffic between Yunlin and Changhua. Xiluo is also known for traditional soy sauce brewing, and its older commercial street keeps a row of early twentieth-century facades.
A Xiluo map poster is defined by the river. The braided channels of the Zhuoshui occupy much of the upper part of the frame, crossed by the thin straight line of the bridge, while the town below forms a dense cluster of small blocks. The result feels both geographic and intimate, a portrait of a place shaped by its crossing.
The Zhuoshui spreads across a wide floodplain in overlapping channels and sandbars, drawing a restless, textured band along the northern edge of town that changes character with the seasons.
The historic Xiluo Bridge crosses the full width of the riverbed in a single straight line, a strong graphic element that links the town to Changhua County on the far bank.
Near the river the street pattern tightens into narrow lanes and an older shopping street, in contrast with the evenly spaced roads and field boundaries that spread south into the plain.

Koteā ko Xiluo
For people from Yunlin, or anyone who has crossed the bridge and walked the old street, this map is a compact reminder of home or of a journey. The river dominates the composition, which makes the print compelling even for those who have never been there.
