Te mapa
Yau Ma Tei sits in the heart of Kowloon, between Jordan to the south and Mong Kok to the north. From above it is a tight grid of short blocks, sliced lengthwise by Nathan Road, the long spine that carries traffic up the peninsula. Parallel streets such as Shanghai Street and Temple Street run alongside it, narrower and older in character.
The district was once a waterfront settlement, and reclamation over the past century and a half has moved the shoreline far to the west. On today's map, the older grid gives way to larger blocks, highways and the typhoon shelter, with the West Kowloon reclamation stretching toward the harbour. The difference in scale between old and new land is easy to read.
Yau Ma Tei is known for the Temple Street Night Market, the Tin Hau Temple, the Jade Market and the wholesale fruit market. A Yau Ma Tei map poster captures the dense rhythm of these streets, where nearly every block holds a story and the city's growth toward the sea is written into the plan.
Nathan Road cuts straight through the district from south to north, a strong central line that anchors the whole composition and links Yau Ma Tei with neighbouring Kowloon districts.
Between Nathan Road and the former shoreline, short blocks along Temple Street and Shanghai Street form one of Kowloon's densest patterns of streets and lanes.
West of the old centre, land reclaimed from the harbour carries broader roads, highways and the typhoon shelter, showing how far the coast has moved over time.

Koteā ko Yau Ma Tei
Yau Ma Tei is a map for people who have eaten at its street stalls, grown up in its tenements or walked Temple Street after dark. Its grid is dense enough to feel alive on a wall, even without a single label.
Give the poster your own title and subtitle, perhaps a year or an address, and adjust the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download print-ready files or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
