Te mapa
Yono was a city in Saitama Prefecture, just north of Tokyo, until 2001, when it merged with Urawa and Omiya to form Saitama City. Its area now lies largely within Chūō-ku. On a map it is a dense grid of narrow streets and small blocks, divided by rail lines running north–south and punctuated by the larger shapes of new developments.
The area includes part of the Saitama New Urban Center, a planned district built on former rail yard land, where Saitama Super Arena and government offices stand. The JR Keihin-Tōhoku and Saikyō lines run through the district, making it a commuter suburb with quick connections to central Tokyo.
A Yono map poster captures the fine texture typical of Japanese suburbs: small plots, lanes that twist between houses, and rail corridors cutting straight lines through. The broad forms of the new urban centre contrast with the older neighbourhood fabric. The print offers a detailed, calm portrait of a place that remains distinct even after becoming part of a larger city.
Several rail lines run through the area in parallel, forming the clearest structure on the map and linking the district directly with central Tokyo.
The Saitama New Urban Center, built on former rail land, appears as a cluster of large blocks and wide spaces, including the site of Saitama Super Arena.
Away from the stations, a dense web of narrow lanes and small plots fills the map, a typical Japanese residential pattern with great visual detail.

Koteā ko Yono
Many people still call their neighbourhood Yono, even though the city itself merged into Saitama. A map of the area keeps that local identity, marking a first apartment, a family home or years of commuting along the rail lines.
Personalise the title and subtitle, for example with Yono or your station name, and add coordinates. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download six print sizes for $9 as PNG and PDF, or order a printed poster from a partner near you.
