Te mapa
Zarinsk is a town in Altai Krai in southern Siberia, located on the Chumysh river northeast of Barnaul. It grew up in the late Soviet period around the construction of a large coke and chemical plant, and received town status in 1979. That origin is visible from above: planned residential microdistricts on one side, an extensive industrial site on the other.
The residential area follows the Soviet planning style of wide avenues and large blocks of apartment buildings set among courtyards and green spaces. The river runs nearby with forest and farmland beyond, and rail lines serving the plant form long, straight features across the map.
A Zarinsk map poster shows a town built almost entirely to plan, with a clarity rarely found in older cities. The contrast between the orderly housing blocks and the vast industrial footprint makes a strong, graphic composition, particularly for those who lived or worked here.
Housing is organised into large rectangular blocks separated by broad streets, a pattern that gives the poster a regular, modular appearance.
The coke plant and its rail sidings cover a large area, forming a dense, technical pattern of lines distinct from the residential town.
The river curves past the town through wooded and open land, softening the otherwise geometric composition with natural bends.

Koteā ko Zarinsk
Zarinsk is a working town, and many of its residents have deep ties to the plant and the community that grew around it. A map poster turns that shared history into an honest, graphic image.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can be changed, in Latin or Cyrillic script, and the poster comes in Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
