The map

About this Ban Lak Song map poster

Ban Lak Song lies in Bang Khae, on the western side of Bangkok and west of the Chao Phraya. From above, it is a dense weave of narrow sois branching off a few main roads. Khlongs, the canals that once carried most of the area's traffic, still cut through the grid in thin, winding lines.

Phetkasem Road, one of the main routes west out of the capital, runs through the district. Lak Song station on the MRT Blue Line sits along it at the line's western end. On the map, the road and rail corridor form a strong, straight spine. Smaller streets fan out from it into housing estates, markets and pockets of greenery.

A Ban Lak Song map poster captures the texture of outer Bangkok, where older canal-side patterns and newer transport lines overlap. It is a local, lived-in view of the city, far from the river bends and landmarks of the centre.

01

Phetkasem Road

This major road cuts through the area as a bold, straight line. It carries the Blue Line above it and anchors the whole composition.

02

Canal lines

Khlongs wind between the sois. They are reminders of the waterways that shaped Thonburi-side Bangkok long before the roads arrived.

03

Soi network

Dozens of narrow lanes branch off the main roads, many ending in dead ends. They create a dense, finely detailed texture across the map.
