The map
Bülach is the main town of the Zürcher Unterland, the area north of Zurich and its airport. At its centre is a compact old town, once walled, with a church and closely packed buildings along a few narrow streets. Around it, newer neighbourhoods expand across the Glatt valley and toward the wooded hills that frame the town.
The town is an important railway junction, and tracks radiate from its station in several directions, clearly visible on the map. For much of the twentieth century Bülach was known for its glassworks, and the site has since been redeveloped as a new residential quarter. Large forests, including the Hardwald, lie close by.
A Bülach map poster combines the small, dense old town with the lines of the railway, the river and the forest edges. It is a well balanced composition with a clearly defined historic core, representative of the Swiss towns that have grown steadily around medieval centres.
The historic centre forms a small, tight cluster of streets around the church, its compact outline still distinct from the newer neighbourhoods around it.
Several rail lines meet at Bülach, radiating from the station in long curves that cut across the town and surrounding fields.
The Glatt river runs past the town, while extensive forests on the nearby hills create large open areas on the map.

Why Bülach
Bülach is home for many who commute into Zurich, and for others who grew up in the Unterland. A map of the old town, railway and forests is a quiet, recognisable piece for a hallway or office, and a good housewarming gift.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files for $9 cover six print sizes, and printed posters with an optional wooden frame are shipped from nearby partners.
