About this Longxing map poster
Longxing is a town in the Yubei district of Chongqing, on the rolling land north-east of the city centre. On the map, a small, tight knot of old streets sits at its heart, surrounded by newer roads, housing developments and patches of farmland on the hills.
The town is known for its old quarter, which retains traditional streets and buildings from the Ming and Qing periods, including temples and guild halls. It has become a popular destination for visitors from Chongqing looking for a quieter, older atmosphere just outside the modern city.
