About this Qingdao map poster
Qingdao sits on the southern tip of a peninsula that nearly closes off Jiaozhou Bay, so on a map the city is framed by water on three sides. The western shore faces the sheltered bay and its container ports, while the southern edge meets the open Yellow Sea in a run of small coves, headlands and sandy beaches that locals still refer to by number.
