Housing estate curves
Long apartment blocks follow gentle arcs across the district. On paper they form rhythmic parallel lines that set Stodůlky apart from the dense historic grid of central Prague.

The map
Stodůlky sits on the western edge of Prague, part of the district known as Prague 13. From above it reads as two layers: the small, irregular lanes of a former village, and around them the long curved blocks of the large housing estate built in the late twentieth century. The estate is part of the area known as Jihozápadní Město, the South-West Town.
Metro line B runs through the district, and its stations act as anchors on the map. Shops, bus loops and pedestrian squares gather around each stop. Between the apartment rows lie broad lawns, playgrounds and paths, so the drawing shows large open shapes rather than the tight courtyards of central Prague. To the east the ground drops toward the wooded valleys that border this side of the city.
A Stodůlky map poster works best at a scale that shows both layers. The sweeping estate lines look almost architectural in black and white, while the old village streets add a small knot of irregular detail. For anyone who grew up in the district or rented a first flat here, the pattern of paths and stations is easy to recognise.

The metro line gives the district its structure. Each station is surrounded by squares, bus turnarounds and footpaths that radiate outward into the housing estate.
Among the modern blocks, a small cluster of older, irregular streets marks where the original village of Stodůlky stood before Prague grew around it.

Why Stodůlky
People hang this map because Stodůlky is home in a very practical sense: the walk to the metro, the park behind the block, the route to school. Seen from above, those everyday lines become a clean, graphic pattern that suits a hallway or a first shared flat.
You can add your own title, a subtitle such as a street or year, and the coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster, with an optional wooden frame.
