The map
Świebodzin is a town in Lubusz Province in western Poland, between Poznań and the German border. Its old town has a recognisable shape on a map: a compact oval of streets, with the town hall standing in the centre of the market square and the line of the former defensive walls still visible in the curved streets around it.
Outside this core, the town expanded in all directions, with residential districts, parks and main roads leading out toward the surrounding lake country. Świebodzin is widely known for its large statue of Christ the King, completed in 2010 and considered one of the tallest statues of Jesus in the world. It stands on a mound on the edge of town.
A Świebodzin map poster shows a classic Central European town plan in clear lines. The oval old town sits at the heart, the ring of streets around it marks the former walls, and newer areas extend beyond. It is a neat, well-proportioned composition that reads immediately as a historic town.

Curved streets and green strips trace where the town's defences once stood. On the poster, they form a clear ring around the old centre.
The monumental statue stands on the outskirts of town on a raised mound. It is Świebodzin's best-known landmark and a point of reference on the map.
