The map

About this Tha Maka map poster

Tha Maka lies in the southeast of Kanchanaburi province, where the hills of western Thailand give way to open lowland. Seen from above, the town is a compact cluster of streets set within a wide patchwork of fields. Roads leave the centre in several directions, and narrow farm lanes and water channels divide the land into long, regular plots.

The district sits on the Mae Klong river basin, and water shapes much of the map here. Canals and irrigation ditches draw fine parallel lines across the countryside, and the paler blocks of fields make the built-up core stand out clearly. The geometry is quiet and agricultural rather than urban, which suits a minimalist print well.

A Tha Maka map poster keeps that calm structure: a small grid of town streets, the thin lines of rural roads and the careful division of farmland around them. It is a portrait of central Thailand at an everyday scale, drawn in clean black and white without colour or labels competing for attention.

01

Compact town centre

The built-up core forms a small, dense knot of short streets, sharply defined against the open land that surrounds it on every side.

02

Irrigated lowland

Channels and field boundaries run in long parallel strokes across the Mae Klong basin, giving the countryside a fine, ruled texture on the map.

03

Roads to the hills

Routes leave town toward the rest of Kanchanaburi province, tracing the transition from flat farmland toward the higher ground in the west.

For people who grew up in Tha Maka or have family in the district, this is a map of home that rarely appears on a wall. The simple lines of streets and fields make a restrained, personal piece for a living room or study.

You can add your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or a year, and a coordinates line, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match the room.
