Te mapa
Alushta stretches along a wide bay on the southern coast of Crimea, where river valleys open onto the Black Sea. The streets follow those valleys down from the hills to a long seafront promenade, so the map has a clear direction: dense blocks near the water, then roads winding uphill between vineyards and orchards.
Behind the town rise the mountain massifs of Chatyr-Dag and Demerdzhi. Demerdzhi is known for its Valley of Ghosts, a slope of eroded rock pillars. Alushta's history goes back to the Byzantine fortress of Aluston, built in the sixth century under Emperor Justinian, and towers and fragments of its walls remain near the center.
The town is also a stop on the trolleybus route from Simferopol to Yalta, often cited as the longest trolleybus line in the world. The route crosses the mountain pass above Alushta. An Alushta map poster brings together the curved shoreline, the promenade and the steep ground rising behind them.
The wide curve of the bay and the seafront promenade along it form the poster's main line, a clean arc where the dense town meets open water.
Streets climb inland along river valleys and fan out as they rise. That gives the map a strong sense of slope and of a town opening toward the sea.
The road and trolleybus route to Simferopol wind up toward the pass behind the town. Their long switchbacks are drawn clearly against the mountain slopes.

Koteā ko Alushta
For many people Alushta means summers by the sea, a first holiday or a childhood spent between mountains and shore. A title with a year, a street or a short dedication turns the map into a personal souvenir.
Blueprint and Noir make the coastline stand out, while Paper and Sand bring a softer, sunlit feel. Classic black & white is also available. Order a printed matte poster, with or without a wooden frame, or download all six sizes for $9.
