Te mapa
Amvrosiyivka lies in the southeast of Donetsk Oblast, close to the Russian border, in the open steppe of the Donbas. The town grew with the railway and with local industry, above all cement production. These origins are visible on a map: straight streets, a rail line cutting across the town and large industrial footprints on its outskirts.
Most residential districts form a loose grid of long streets with private houses and gardens, interrupted by quarries and works at the edges. A small river valley and a few ponds bring curves into the regular plan. The flat farmland beyond gives the whole town a clearly defined outline against empty ground.
An Amvrosiyivka map poster records the town as a street plan, without commentary: rail line, grid, valley and edges. Many people have left the region, and for them a map like this can quietly keep a hometown present. It also works as a study of an industrial town laid out on the steppe.
The rail line runs through the town as a strong continuous stroke. The station area and sidings form a denser band that separates the districts on either side.
Cement works and quarries on the edges appear as large, simple shapes. They are a reminder of the industry that built the town and shaped its outskirts.
Much of the town consists of long parallel streets lined with houses and gardens. The regular pattern reads clearly even at small print sizes.
