Anguo Map Poster & Print
This Anguo lies in the far northwest of Jiangsu Province, in the Xuzhou area near the borders with Shandong and Anhui. It should not be confused with the better-known Anguo in Hebei. The land here belongs to the broad, level North China Plain, where almost nothing interrupts the horizon.
That flatness shapes the map. Roads run long and straight, fields are divided into near-rectangles, and ditches and small canals cut across the farmland in parallel lines. The town itself is a denser block where several of these straight routes meet. Its streets are more tightly packed but follow the same orthogonal habit.
This part of Jiangsu is agricultural, and it has been farmed and managed for water for a very long time. An Anguo map poster shows that careful, geometric use of land. The result is a restrained design of lines and small rectangles, and the town reads like a knot tied into a larger net.

Straight rural roads

Narrow canals and ditches run between the fields to manage water on the flat ground. They add a second layer of thin lines that follows the grid.
