Te mapa
Baao is a municipality in Camarines Sur, in the Bicol Region of southern Luzon. It lies on the broad, flat plain between Naga and Iriga. The Philippine National Railways line to Bicol passes through here, and the main national road runs alongside it. Those two parallel routes give the town a clear north-south axis on the map.
The town centre is a compact grid of streets around the church and plaza. Beyond it, the map is taken up mostly by rice paddies, drawn as a fine mesh of field boundaries and irrigation ditches. Barangays sit along the roads in small clusters. To the east is Lake Baao, a small shallow lake, and farther south the land rises toward Mount Iriga.
A Baao map poster shows the typical structure of a Bicol lowland town with unusual clarity. It shows a railway and a highway, a small central grid, farmland on every side, and water nearby. The lines are sparse and the composition is calm, much like the landscape itself.
The Bicol railway and the national road run through town in close parallel lines. They form the strongest axis on the map and link Baao to Naga and Iriga.
A small, regular grid of streets surrounds the church and town plaza. It forms a dense core that stands out clearly against the surrounding fields.
Rice fields cover the plain in a fine network of dikes and ditches. This creates a subtle texture across the outer part of the poster.
