Te mapa
Bagong Pagasa is a barangay of Quezon City, the most populous city in Metro Manila. Its name translates as new hope. On a map it appears as a compact area of short, closely packed streets set against the much wider avenues of the city, where heavy traffic corridors and large institutional blocks mark the edges of everyday neighbourhood life.
Quezon City was planned in the twentieth century as a capital with generous avenues and government districts, and that ambition still shows in the road network. Inside the barangay, though, the scale drops to small lots, narrow lanes and houses built close together, the kind of fine texture that comes through clearly when the map is reduced to lines.
A Bagong Pagasa map poster captures that contrast between the city-scale avenues and the local grain of the streets. It is a place defined less by a single landmark than by the rhythm of dense residential blocks, and that rhythm makes a strong black-and-white composition.
Broad Quezon City avenues run near the barangay, drawn as heavy lines that frame the area and connect it to the rest of Metro Manila.
Inside, short lanes and small blocks create a dense, almost woven texture that fills the frame with detail at every print size.
Big parcels with few internal roads appear as calm open spaces on the map, balancing the busy pattern of the surrounding streets.

For residents, former residents and families who have lived in the same few streets for generations, a map of the barangay is personal in a way a city map is not. It marks the exact place where daily life happened.
