Te mapa
Balabanovo lies in Borovsky District of Kaluga Oblast, southwest of Moscow and close to Obninsk. The town grew up around the railway toward Kaluga and further south, and the tracks remain the clearest line on its map. Residential streets, blocks of apartment buildings and industrial areas are grouped on either side of the rail corridor.
Beyond the built-up area, the landscape is typical of central Russia: patches of forest, open fields, small rivers and dacha settlements with neat rows of narrow plots. These garden cooperatives appear on the map as fine, regular grids, noticeably different in texture from the town's larger blocks.
A Balabanovo map poster shows a quiet town between the capital region and the Kaluga countryside. The railway gives the design a strong diagonal, the apartment districts provide denser blocks, and the forests leave calm empty areas around the edges. It is an understated picture of a place many people know as home.
The railway runs through the town as a long straight line, dividing it into two sides and connecting it to Moscow and Kaluga.
Groups of multi-storey residential buildings form larger, more regular shapes near the centre, typical of towns that grew in the Soviet period.
Around the town, garden cooperatives form dense grids of narrow plots. They add a fine texture that stands out against forests and fields.

Koteā ko Balabanovo
Balabanovo is the kind of town that rarely appears on posters, which is why a map of it feels personal. It suits someone who grew up here, moved away, or wants to mark a family place in a simple, dignified way.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can be changed, for example to add the name in Cyrillic or a significant year. Choose one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
