Te mapa
Baoying lies in the Lixiahe lowland of central Jiangsu. This flat, watery region under Yangzhou is crossed by rivers, drainage channels and lakes. Its defining feature is the Beijing–Hangzhou Grand Canal, which runs through the county from north to south. On a map, the canal is a long, deliberate line, and the town has grown in a band along its banks.
West of the canal there are open lakes. East of it, the land is divided by a fine network of waterways and fish ponds, which look like a detailed grid of small rectangles. Streets in the town keep close to the canal's direction, and newer districts extend eastward in regular blocks.
Baoying is known across China for its lotus roots, grown in the shallow waters around the town. A Baoying map poster shows the setting that makes that possible: water everywhere, controlled and divided into plots, with the town settled among it. In monochrome, the balance between canal, ponds and streets is very clear.
The canal, part of a UNESCO-listed waterway that runs more than a thousand kilometres, cuts straight through Baoying. It is the backbone of the composition.
East of town, fish ponds and lotus fields make a dense grid of small rectangles, a pattern typical of the Lixiahe lowlands.
To the west, the land opens into lakes and wetland. These wide blank areas balance the tightly divided landscape on the other side of the canal.

Koteā ko Baoying
Baoying suits people who like maps where water does most of the work. The long canal and the fine grid of ponds give a quiet, rhythmic image, and there are also personal reasons for anyone with roots in the county.
You can add a title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps a family name or a date of departure. Then choose from five styles, including Blueprint, which suits a canal town well, alongside Classic black & white, Noir, Paper and Sand.
