Te mapa
Braemar Hill rises behind North Point on the eastern side of Hong Kong Island, in the Eastern District. It is a residential hillside, and its map looks nothing like the dense grid along the harbour below. Roads climb in switchbacks and follow the contours, and apartment towers stand on terraces cut into the slope.
Above the estates the ground turns green and steep, climbing toward Mount Parker and the country park uplands of the island. That leaves the map with a clear layered structure: the harbour-side city at the bottom, a band of winding hill roads and towers in the middle, and open wooded slopes at the top.
The hill is also home to schools and to Hong Kong Shue Yan University, whose campus sits among the residential blocks. A Braemar Hill map poster shows a side of Hong Kong that visitors seldom see: quiet, vertical and shaped more by the gradient than by the grid.
Streets wind back and forth across the slope in hairpins and loops, drawing the steepness of the hill directly onto the map.
Residential blocks sit on platforms levelled into the hillside, appearing as compact footprints spaced out along the curving roads.
Above the housing, wooded slopes climb toward Mount Parker, giving the upper part of the print a wide, calm area of open ground.

Koteā ko Braemar Hill
Anyone who has lived, studied or grown up on Braemar Hill knows those winding roads by heart. A map of the hill is a quiet reminder of home in one of the world's most vertical cities, and it looks sharp on a clean wall.
