Te mapa
Campo Bom lies in the Vale dos Sinos in Rio Grande do Sul, a short distance from Novo Hamburgo and the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre. From above, the Rio dos Sinos marks one edge of the town, meandering through wetlands and floodplain, while the streets climb gradually away from it toward higher ground.
The town was settled by German immigrants in the nineteenth century and later became part of the valley's footwear industry, which still defines its economy. The map shows a mix of patterns: an orderly centre, industrial blocks with larger footprints, and residential neighbourhoods spreading along the main routes.
A Campo Bom map poster puts the river, the old centre and the newer districts together in one clear frame. For anyone familiar with the Sinos Valley it shows how the town fits between its neighbours, with open land, wetlands and roads linking it to the rest of the region.
The river winds past the town in loose meanders, bordered by floodplain and wetlands that read as open, soft shapes on the map.
Larger building footprints mark the factories of the footwear industry, a distinctive grain that sets working areas apart from housing.
The old centre keeps a compact, orderly street pattern, the core from which the rest of the town has grown outward.
