Casa Branca is a municipality in inland São Paulo state, in a region of rolling hills and broad farmland. Its name means white house in Portuguese. From above, the town has the orderly shape common to many towns in the region: a central grid of nearly square blocks surrounded by open countryside.
Like many towns in this part of the state, Casa Branca grew up around agriculture, and the land around it is still mostly farmland. On the map, regional roads cross the town as longer lines. Country tracks divide the surrounding land into large fields that stretch out on every side.
