Te mapa
City One Shatin is one of Hong Kong's largest private housing estates, built in phases during the 1980s on land reclaimed along the Shing Mun River. From above it is strikingly regular: dozens of tall residential blocks arranged in groups, internal roads and podiums between them, and the wide, straight river channel running alongside, lined with cycle tracks and footpaths.
The estate was planned as part of the Sha Tin new town, when a quiet bay became one of Hong Kong's most populous suburban districts. City One has its own MTR station on the Tuen Ma line, and bridges across the river connect it to neighbouring areas. On a map, the combination of estate, water and rail gives it a crisp, architectural outline.
A City One map poster works for anyone who spent years in these towers: families who raised children here, students who cycled along the river, or former residents now living overseas. Without colour and signage, the place reads as pure geometry, a tight cluster of internal roads beside a broad band of water within the valley of Sha Tin.
The channelled river is broad and straight here, and its banks carry cycle tracks and promenades. On the poster it forms the defining open band beside the estate.
Internal roads loop between tower clusters and podiums, creating a compact, orderly pattern that contrasts with the older village lanes elsewhere in the New Territories.
Road and footbridges link the estate across the water, drawing short, precise lines that tie City One into the wider Sha Tin new town.

Koteā ko City One
For many Hong Kong families, City One is where an important chapter took place. A map of the estate captures it with clarity, and it is especially meaningful for those who have moved abroad and want to keep Sha Tin within sight.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a block name or the years you lived there, and edit the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the estate's planned, engineered character particularly well.
