Te mapa
Cofradía lies in the Cortés Department of northern Honduras, close to San Pedro Sula, on the western side of the Sula Valley. It is part of the wider San Pedro Sula area, and its map shows the point where the flat valley floor gives way to rising, forested hills.
From above, the town has a fairly compact centre with a regular street pattern, and roads leading out towards San Pedro Sula and the surrounding communities. As the land climbs to the west, streets become fewer and more winding, following the slopes rather than a grid.
The Sula Valley is the country's main industrial and agricultural region, and Cofradía sits close to that activity while keeping the scale of a smaller town. A Cofradía map poster shows the ordered centre, the connecting roads and the hills behind them, a clear portrait of home for its residents and its diaspora.
The central streets follow a regular pattern of blocks, the densest and most ordered part of the map.
The main connection to San Pedro Sula runs across the valley floor, linking Cofradía to the country's industrial centre.
To the west the terrain rises, and the streets thin out and bend with the slopes, giving the print a softer, looser edge.
