Te mapa
San Pedro Sula lies in the Sula Valley in northwestern Honduras, a broad, fertile plain drained by the Ulúa and Chamelecón rivers. The city was founded in 1536 and has become the country's main industrial and commercial centre. Its map is strikingly simple. To the west the Merendón mountains rise abruptly, and to the east the valley stretches flat and open.
The street plan is a clear grid of numbered calles and avenidas, divided into four quadrants around the centre, so addresses include directions like northwest or southeast. A ring road, the Circunvalación, loops around the core. Major boulevards lead outward toward industrial parks, the airport and the Caribbean port of Puerto Cortés.
Beyond the grid, neighbourhoods spread across the valley floor, crossed by rivers and drainage channels. A San Pedro Sula map poster captures a practical, orderly city. The mountains form a wall on one side, and the regular pattern of streets fills the wide plain in front of it.
Numbered streets and avenues run in a regular grid split into four quarters from the centre, a system that makes the city easy to navigate and easy to read.
A ring road surrounds the central districts, drawing a clear loop on the map that separates the older core from the neighbourhoods beyond.
The steep range on the western side stops the grid abruptly. Hillsides and winding roads form a curving boundary along the city's edge.
