Te mapa
Cruzeiro do Sul is the second-largest city in the Brazilian state of Acre and the main centre of the Juruá valley, far in the west of the country. From above, the town sits on the bank of the Juruá River, one of the most strongly meandering rivers in the Amazon basin. Its streets form a compact grid on higher ground, with the river curving past below.
Around the town, the map is dominated by water and forest. The river loops back on itself repeatedly, and old meander bends appear as crescent-shaped lakes. The BR-364 highway links Cruzeiro do Sul to Rio Branco, and the airport runway forms a long straight line at the edge of town. The region is also known across Brazil for its cassava flour, farinha de Cruzeiro do Sul.
A Cruzeiro do Sul map poster brings out the contrast between the orderly town grid and the free, looping lines of the river system. In Blueprint or Noir, the meanders and oxbow lakes become an almost abstract pattern, while the town remains a clear, compact point on the bank.
The river curves in tight loops across the floodplain, and abandoned bends form crescent-shaped lakes that give the map its most distinctive shapes.
Streets form a regular grid on higher ground above the river, a compact built area set against the open forest and floodplain around it.
The BR-364 highway leads away towards Rio Branco, and the straight line of the airport runway stands out among the curving natural features.

Koteā ko Cruzeiro do Sul
Cruzeiro do Sul is remote, and those who have lived or worked there tend to remember it vividly. A map is a fitting keepsake of a river town at the far western edge of Brazil, where the Juruá shapes everything.
You can set your own title and subtitle, add a date, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, then download 300 DPI files or order a matte print, framed if you like.
