Te mapa
Dabakala lies in the centre-north of Ivory Coast, in the Vallée du Bandama district, where forest gives way to savanna. It is the seat of a department of the same name. From above, the town is a cluster of streets gathered around a few main roads that approach from different directions, with the grid loosening quickly into the countryside.
The surrounding land is broad and gently rolling, crossed by tracks leading to outlying villages and farmland. Watercourses and low-lying ground appear as faint lines across the map, and the edges of the town are soft rather than sharply defined, typical of towns in this part of West Africa.
Rather than a single dramatic feature, Dabakala's character on a map comes from its proportions: a compact centre in a wide landscape, connected outward by roads. A Dabakala map poster keeps that balance, a small, ordered settlement surrounded by space.
Several main routes meet near the centre of town, giving the map a clear focal point from which the streets branch outward.
The built area thins gradually into fields and savanna, so the drawing fades gently rather than stopping at a hard boundary.
Narrow tracks radiate into the surrounding country, linking the town to outlying settlements and adding fine detail to the open ground.
