Te mapa
Dār Kulayb lies on the western side of Bahrain Island in the Southern Governorate, close to the island's west coast. The land here is low and nearly flat, and the map shows it clearly. Residential streets are laid out in fairly regular blocks, and wide open plots between developed areas give the design plenty of air.
The Gulf shoreline to the west is shallow and gently curved, and on paper it forms a soft edge rather than a dramatic coastline. Inland, main roads connect the district to the island's larger towns and highways. Because the ground is so level, the street pattern follows planning decisions rather than terrain, which gives it an orderly, almost diagrammatic look.
A Dār Kulayb map poster shows a side of Bahrain that visitors to Manama rarely see: a quieter residential area between the desert interior and the sea. In black and white, the tidy blocks and wide spaces make a composition that feels both specific and understated, suited to a family home.
Residential neighbourhoods are arranged in orderly rectangles and short cul-de-sacs. This gives the centre of the print a clean, measured rhythm.
The shallow Gulf coast to the west forms a long, gentle curve. It sets a calm boundary between the streets and the water.
Undeveloped ground separates clusters of housing. On the print it becomes deliberate white space that frames each part of the district.

Koteā ko Dār Kulayb
Families who have lived in Dār Kulayb for generations and those who moved there more recently both appreciate a map that captures the shape of their neighbourhood. The flat, geometric layout works especially well in modern interiors.
