Te mapa
Dom Eliseu lies in the southeast of Pará, close to the border with Maranhão, on the Belém–Brasília highway, the BR-010. Like many towns on this part of the Amazon frontier, it grew in the second half of the twentieth century around the road, and its map makes that obvious: a regular grid of streets laid out beside the highway, with the rest of the landscape mostly open land.
Beyond the town, straight rural roads divide large properties used for farming and cattle, and patches of remaining forest appear as irregular shapes between them. The highway runs as a long, uninterrupted line north toward Belém and south toward the interior, giving the composition a strong axis that everything else is arranged around.
A Dom Eliseu map poster shows a young town in a very clear form: a planned grid, a national highway and the wide landscape of eastern Amazonia around it. It is a meaningful print for people who helped build the town or grew up there, and a striking image of how settlements took shape along Brazil's frontier roads.
The Belém–Brasília highway passes directly through town. On the poster it forms the dominant line, linking Dom Eliseu to the north and south.
The streets are laid out in a regular grid on flat land beside the highway, creating a neat, compact block pattern at the heart of the map.
Long, straight roads extend into the surrounding farmland, dividing it into large parcels that give the edges of the map a geometric order.

Koteā ko Dom Eliseu
Dom Eliseu is a town built by people who arrived with the road, and many families have strong ties to its early years. A map of it is a record of that effort and a clear image of home.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates with a name or a founding year, and choose one of five styles. Download the HD files for $9 in six print sizes, or order a printed poster with an optional frame.
