Te mapa
Dom Pedro is a municipality in the interior of Maranhão, in northeastern Brazil, far from the state's Atlantic coast. The town's urban area is modest in size. From above, it reads as a clear block of streets surrounded by farmland, pasture and patches of native vegetation. Its roads link it to neighbouring towns across the region.
As in many towns of the Brazilian interior, the layout is mostly practical. Straight streets meet at regular intervals, a few longer roads lead in and out of town, and the edges fade quickly into rural land. The town is named after a Brazilian emperor, a common choice in a country where place names often keep the memory of the imperial period.
A Dom Pedro map poster makes that simplicity its strength. The grid sits at the centre of the sheet like a small, carefully drawn pattern, and roads reach outward into open space. In black and white, the contrast between the settled blocks and the wide country around them gives the print a calm, spacious feel.
The town centre follows a largely orderly grid of streets and blocks. It is simple and legible, and it gives the map a clear focal point in the middle of the page.
A handful of roads lead out of town toward neighbouring municipalities. They cross the surrounding land as long, single lines that tie Dom Pedro to the wider interior.
Farmland and native vegetation surround the urban area on all sides. The result is a composition in which the town stands out clearly against quiet, open ground.

Koteā ko Dom Pedro
Many people leave small interior towns for larger cities while keeping a strong tie to where they started. A map of Dom Pedro is a way to keep that home visible, whether as a gift to a parent or a reminder on your own wall.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised with a family name, a year or a short dedication. Choose from five styles, including Paper and Sand for a warmer tone. Posters can be printed through partners in more than 30 countries.
