Te mapa
Dubai Marina is built around an artificial waterway roughly three kilometres long, cut into the land along the Persian Gulf coast. On a map the canal is the defining shape: a long, sinuous channel with basins and pontoons, bordered on both sides by a tight ring of streets and tower plots. Sheikh Zayed Road runs along the inland side, and beyond the beachfront lies the open sea.
Developed from the early 2000s onward, the district became one of the densest clusters of residential towers in the world. The Marina Walk promenade traces much of the canal edge, and bridges cross the water at intervals. On the seaward side, Jumeirah Beach Residence forms a long strip along the beach, and the Palm Jumeirah extends offshore a short distance to the north.
Because almost everything here was planned within a few decades, the map has an unusual clarity. A Dubai Marina map poster turns the district into a study in contrast: the smooth, curving line of the water against the crisp outlines of roads, interchanges and the orderly blocks that hold the towers. It is one of the most recognisable modern urban shapes in the region.
An artificial channel winds through the district for around three kilometres, connecting to the Gulf and forming a strong, fluid shape at the centre of the map.
Jumeirah Beach Residence runs along the shore between the marina and the sea, a narrow band of towers and streets that follows the straight line of the coast.
The multi-lane highway forms the district's inland edge, its broad corridor and interchanges drawing a firm line between the marina and the neighbourhoods beyond.

Koteā ko Dubai Marina
Residents who watched the district grow, expatriates marking years spent in Dubai, and visitors who walked the promenade at night all recognise this outline at once. It is a portrait of a very modern city, shown with the calm of a classic map.
