Te mapa
Sharjah lies on the Gulf coast directly northeast of Dubai, and the two cities meet with no gap between them, so on a map the built-up area continues across the boundary. The centre of Sharjah is organised around Khalid Lagoon, an inlet of the sea whose curving shape is framed by the corniche, parks and a ring of roads.
From the lagoon, the Al Qasba canal runs inland to Al Khan Lagoon, a short straight waterway between two bodies of water. The Al Majaz waterfront lines part of the lagoon's shore, while the older quarter, restored as the Heart of Sharjah, sits near the water by the souqs. Beyond the centre, districts spread inland in wide, regular blocks.
Sharjah is often described as the cultural capital of the UAE and was named UNESCO World Book Capital for 2019. The emirate also includes separate areas on the east coast, such as Khor Fakkan and Kalba. A Sharjah map poster focuses on the city itself: its lagoons, canal and coastline set against the dense grid that runs on toward Dubai.
The lagoon forms a rounded body of water at the heart of the city, its shoreline traced by the corniche and parks, giving the poster a clear centre.
A short, straight canal links Khalid Lagoon with Al Khan Lagoon, a neat line of water through the city blocks that stands out against the curving shores.
To the northwest the coast runs in a long, even line, with the city grid meeting it directly and continuing without a break into Dubai.

Koteā ko Sharjah
Many residents of Sharjah have lived there for years or decades, some commuting to Dubai each day. A map of the lagoon and the coast is a considered way to mark a home, a first apartment or a period of life in the Emirates.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be changed, and there are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Get the HD files for $9, or a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
