Te mapa
Dzhankoy stands on the level steppe of northern Crimea, a landscape of wide fields, shelter belts and long, straight roads. The town grew as a railway junction, and from above the tracks are the clearest feature: several lines meet here, with sidings and yards cutting a broad band through the streets. Residential blocks and low houses fill the spaces on either side.
The land around the town is almost entirely flat, so field boundaries and irrigation channels form a regular, geometric pattern that extends to the horizon. To the east lies the Syvash, the shallow lagoon system separating Crimea from the mainland, though it sits beyond the town's immediate surroundings. The overall impression is of a place organised around movement and agriculture.
A Dzhankoy map poster makes the railway junction its centrepiece. In black and white, the converging tracks read like a diagram, drawing the eye into the middle of town, while the surrounding streets form a finer grid. It is an unusual and graphic map, well suited to anyone with roots in the area or a liking for railway towns.
Several lines meet in the town, and the tracks, sidings and yards form a wide, striking band that dominates the centre of the map.
Around the town, fields and shelter belts create a regular, geometric pattern on the flat land, reaching out in every direction.
Long, direct roads lead out across the steppe, emphasising how open and level the northern part of the Crimean peninsula is.

Koteā ko Dzhankoy
Many people pass through Dzhankoy by train, and many more grew up in its streets. A map of the town speaks to both: the junction as a point of arrival and departure, and the quiet neighbourhoods around it as a place of home.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family surname or a meaningful year. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint gives the railway lines a technical, drawn look.
