Te mapa
Edinburg lies in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, a short distance north of McAllen and the Mexican border. On a map it is almost entirely flat. The streets follow a regular grid, and long, straight roads mark out the section lines of the old agricultural land. Newer subdivisions fill the spaces between them, while fields and former citrus groves remain at the edges.
The city is the county seat of Hidalgo County, and its historic courthouse area forms the centre of the older town. Edinburg is also home to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, whose large campus is one of the main features on the map. The city has grown quickly alongside McAllen and neighbouring towns into one of the largest urban areas along the border.
An Edinburg map poster shows the strict geometry of the valley. Straight roads cross each other at right angles, the old downtown grid lies at the centre, and the campus and larger parcels break up the pattern. In black and white, the design has a clean, almost architectural quality.
Long, straight roads laid out on section lines cross the flat land at regular intervals and give the whole city a strict rectangular structure.
The UTRGV campus occupies a large block near the centre, with open space and buildings that stand out from the residential grid.
The older downtown around the courthouse keeps the tightest blocks in the city, the original core of a town that has grown in all directions.

An Edinburg poster suits UTRGV graduates, families with roots in the Valley, and anyone who has moved there for work. The clean grid makes it one of the most graphic city plans in Texas.
Add a name, a graduation year or a family date to the title and subtitle, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. HD files cost $9, and matte prints are available with an optional wooden frame.
