Te mapa
Eldorado do Sul sits on the western edge of greater Porto Alegre, across the water from the state capital. The land here is low and wide open. Channels of the Jacuí delta wind along its eastern side, and on a map the built-up area looks like a small cluster of streets set on flat ground, with wetlands and fields around it.
The town grew along the BR-290 highway, which runs through it toward the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. Residential blocks are laid out in simple grids on either side of the road. Farther out, the street pattern thins into rural lanes, rice fields and open country. The contrast between the dense core and the empty land around it is striking in black and white.
In May 2024 the floods that hit Rio Grande do Sul covered much of the municipality, which shows how closely the town is tied to the water beside it. An Eldorado do Sul map poster records that relationship quietly: dark lines of streets on one side, the pale shapes of rivers and marsh on the other, with the delta setting the edge of the town.
The river channels and islands of the Jacuí delta form the eastern boundary, a loose tangle of water and wetland that separates the town from Porto Alegre.
The highway cuts straight through the municipality and acts as its spine, with most of the urban grid gathered close to it on both sides.
Beyond the streets the map opens into flat farmland and marsh, giving the composition generous empty space around a compact centre.

For people who grew up here, moved away, or helped rebuild after the floods, this map is a plain and honest portrait of home. It shows the town as it actually sits, next to the river that defines it, without decoration.
