Te mapa
Escuque is a town in the Venezuelan Andes, in Trujillo state, a short distance west of the city of Valera. It sits on sloping ground, and its streets adapt to the incline. A central plaza and a core of older blocks form the heart of the town, and from there roads climb and descend toward the surrounding hills and valleys.
The countryside around Escuque is mountain farmland made up of small plots on steep ground, linked by winding roads that follow ridges and streams. The town's raised position gives it wide views across the valley. On the map, the tension between the regular blocks of the centre and the curving roads outside them is what defines its shape.
An Escuque map poster captures a classic Andean town layout at a scale where every street is legible. The dense grid of the centre sits among looping rural roads and the shapes of the slopes, and the result feels both orderly and alive. It makes a strong image for anyone with roots in Trujillo.
The town is organised around its main square, with the surrounding blocks forming the densest and most regular part of the map.
Streets bend and step to handle the gradient of the hillside, softening the grid as it moves away from the centre.
Outside town, roads wind along ridges and valleys toward Valera and the mountain villages, adding long, looping lines to the sheet.
