Te mapa
Franklin occupies the south-western corner of Milwaukee County. Its map follows the square-mile grid of section-line roads common across the Midwest, with each large square filled by curving subdivisions, cul-de-sacs and pockets of open land. The result is a pattern that is regular at a large scale and loose and winding at a small one.
The Root River runs through the city from north to south, lined by the county's parkway lands with trails and woodland. This green corridor divides Franklin in two and gives the map a natural, meandering line through the otherwise planned layout. Parks, golf courses and remaining farmland add further open space.
A Franklin map poster captures the typical shape of an American suburb with unusual clarity. The straight arterial roads, the curling residential streets and the river parkway create a varied, balanced composition. It is a personal piece for families who have made a home here.

Major roads run at regular intervals in both directions, dividing the city into large squares. From above they give the map a clear framework.
Within each square, residential streets loop and branch into cul-de-sacs. These patterns create the fine detail that fills the poster.
