Te mapa
Gajendragarh is a town in the Gadag district of northern Karnataka, in the dry, open landscape of the Deccan plateau. Its name refers to a hill fort, and the town grew at the base of a rocky ridge. From above, the dense older streets cluster close to the hill, while newer roads extend outward across flat farmland.
The fort on the hill above town is its best-known landmark, and the area around Gajendragarh also has temples that draw pilgrims from across the region. The landscape is typical of this part of Karnataka, with scattered villages, cultivated plots and seasonal water tanks spread across broad, level ground.
A Gajendragarh map poster places the town in the context of its ridge. The tight, irregular lanes of the old centre sit against open space where the hill rises, and the roads radiating toward nearby villages give the image clear lines leading out across the plain.
The rocky hill that gives the town its name rises beside the settlement, appearing on the map as an open area around which the streets gather and bend.
The oldest part of Gajendragarh is a dense knot of narrow, irregular streets close to the hill, visibly different from the straighter roads of newer areas.
Several roads leave town across flat farmland toward neighbouring villages and towns, forming long, clean lines that frame the settlement on the page.
